The Mouth and Foot Painting Artists Launch Christmas Tutorials
This Christmas, the Mouth and Foot Painting Artists are delighted to continue our Learn To Paint tutorials with a touch of festive fun.
We’ll be bringing you three Christmas-themed art tutorials guaranteed to get you into the Christmas spirit, and demonstrate the range of methods and techniques our mouth and foot paintings artists use. These include:
- Christmas Pudding Silk Painting with Tom Yendell
- Watercolour Penguin Painting with Vanessa Haarhoff
- Watercolour Snowman Painting with Bazza West
Watch to see how our artists paint and have a go yourself, with all of the tutorials suitable for beginner level.
The first in our series is Tom Yendell’s Christmas Pudding Silk Painting.
Learn the basics of silk painting – stretching fabric over a wooden frame, drawing out your image in indelible pen, creating your lines with gutta (which stops the inks from bleeding into each other, like a barrier), and fill in with colour ink.
Silk is a medium Tom enjoys because it’s quick and easy to paint and good for beginners where you don’t have to be particularly precise. But if you prefer to use an alternative painting method, you can still follow the design with whatever you have at home.
Any questions about getting started, simply message us on Facebook or Instagram and we can help!
Don’t forget to tag us at #PaintWithMFPA for a chance for your creation to be shared on our channels.
