Keith Jansz Exhibition at Stowe School: Paint, Brush & Spirit
From 21st November until 7th December 2019, mouth painter Keith Jansz will be holding an exhibition of his work at The Watson School of Art, located within Stowe School, Stowe, Buckinghamshire MK18 5EH.
The theme of the exhibition is ‘Paint, Brush & Spirit’ which sums up perfectly the incredible work of artists like Keith and his fellow members of the Mouth and Foot Painting Artists (MFPA). The artist will have around 40 of his paintings on display; mainly British works which focus on local scenes and London landmarks.
As a precursor to the exhibition, a Private View will be held on Thursday 21st November, starting at 7.30pm, during which Keith will be giving a talk on the history of the MFPA, explaining his working methods and his art inspirations. For those wishing to attend the preview, or to visit the exhibition, both are open to the public but by appointment only via email firstname.lastname@example.org or by calling 01280 818012.
Background on Keith
Buckinghamshire based Keith, learnt to paint by mouth after a tragic car accident left him completely paralysed from the shoulders down. Following a lengthy spell in hospital and rehabilitation centre, the gift of a book about the lives of the MFPA artists who paint without the use of their hands, inspired him to try for himself and after huge perseverance, his work is now exhibited all over the world.
