International Mouth and Foot Painters Day
MFPA artists from around the world came together, once again, to mark the International Mouth and Foot Painters Day, by posting individual video messages on their social channels on 5th September 2020.

This special day takes place on the same date every year, which commemorates the death of the MFPA founder and mouth painter, Arnulf Erich Stegmann and celebrates the extraordinary international artist group he established back in 1957.

From an original group of 17 European artists, the organization now boasts 760 mouth and foot artists worldwide, with over 30 based in the UK.
The Day of Action is designed to raise awareness of the unique way its group of artists create their paintings and to get them talking about how they go about their work and what being an artist with the MFPA means to them personally.
With military style precision, the artists worldwide posted their individual videos at 11am (their local time) and by close of play that day, more than 150 of them from across every continent had participated, which included the following 18 artists from the UK:
Pauline Angus Jacky Archer Andy Baker
Ranjit Bhamra David Cawthorne Steve Chambers
Jon Clayton Katrina Gardner Vanessa Haarhoff
Keith Jansz Peter Longstaff Rosie Moriarty-Simmonds OBE
Ian Parker Jeanne Poyser David Read
Congratulations to every artist who participated worldwide and for sharing their personal messages with the public, to make this year’s International Mouth and Foot Painters Day, even more special.
